How do you remove the (4) vent rings on the dash?

How do you remove these guys without breaking them? I need to uninstall mine to make pancake soup... Thanks.

But seriously, how do you remove them?

Wow, I didn't know you had to remove the whole dash to do this... is there a DIY somewhere?

you shouldnt have to remove the whole dash but it should be the same for all scions so im sure you can look for any scion and you can find your answer

Having done it, 3 of the 4 rings are cake. All of them are screwed in from behind so dont try yanking em out from the front. Just pull the bezel from around the radio and there's two of them. Pull the trim panel on the driver's side and there is another. The passenger side however, you're gonna have to pull up the dash (at least partially) but hey, while you've got it out, dynamat that firewall

I am thinking about doing a Patterntek design. Rather than doing the whole shift console area, I think I just want to do the 4 rings instead.
