Hey guys! it's been awhile. we are looking at getting a new car and i was think of getting an xb. a 2009 or 2010. what are you thoughts on it. what are the pros and cons? any good deals going? even any used xbs? let me know! thanks in advance for your opinions/thought. anyone selling an xb??

I don't think there is any "deals" with Scion due to their pure pricing policy. I heard many other cars are selling under invoice price now, one of my friend just bought a mini van for $17.5k, $6k under invoice price, so if you are looking for good deals Scion is not the one you should look.

 

There are 2 promotions going on right now.

You get $1000 off if you are in the military or a recent college graduate, or going to be graduating within the next 6 months.

 

If you buy used, pure pricing doesn't apply. Private party would probably net an even better deal, though I'm not sure on warranty transfer.

 

I bargained a great deal on my box. I bought mine used and added an extended warranty on it for about 17k. And that's inclusive of tax, tag, and title and all them dealer fees.

That's a good deal but you have to finance with the dealership. I wanted to take that but I had a better agreement with my own bank.

And the only difference between the '09 and the '10 is the standard head unit, doesn't really matter which year you get unless head units matter to you.

QFT. It might be a decent vehicle (I really don't know) but it is awful looking.

I don't think there's anything saying you can't finance with the dealer to get the deal and then refinance with your local bank/credit union. Then again if you can get a lot better interest rate from your credit union right off the bat - it may not be worth bothering to try for the deal anyway.

 

I am selling my 2009 Scion xB...heh...has 10300 miles. Classic silver...located in Southern California tho...heh...
