Not a soccer mom car here.

I'm 31 now. Got the car for my wife (22). Anyways, we originally had a 05 xB that we loved. My parents loved the new xB, they bought one as well (1st gen). Fit the bill for us at the time when my son't car seat wasn't that big. Fast forward to now, my son's car seat is pretty wide and we generally take my parents with us now. The new xB is wide enough to fit my parents and son back there. So, the xB2 works perfect for us...

Hello all ,
This is my first post as I am a soon-to-be gen2 XB owner. I won't say excatly how old I am but I will tell you my folks gave me the middle name of Harry in honor of the prez at the time!
While there are a number of cars we really liked testing ,we chose the XB (over second choice Honda Fit) largely based on it's ease of entry/exit. My wife won't ride in my current car (a 76 914) cause it is so hard for her to get out of.
The XB feels larger than it is ..in a good way.

Anyway, 41 here, but mentally I'm still 26. Just wish the body kept up.

A fair bit older than me... I distinctly remember, as a child, hearing on the radio the announcement of Former President Harry's death.

And he hadn't been in office for a while.

I thought I was an older buyer at 38, but reading all the post here I think I might be in the "younger half" of the group. I had 2003 BMW M5 and a 2006 Hummer that I sold to get the new Xb. I have a 2005 Xb1 that I bought for my business and loved driving it. The 2008 is even better. The M5 cost me over $150 for an oil change and every kind of accessory was expensive. I could not be happier with the new Xb. You cannot find a better value with all the safety equipment and features the new Xb has. My kids love it and it has more room leg room in the back seat that either the Hummer or M5. It is just a great car for people at any age.

Soccer Mom Car ? Not quite. Actually we are going to trade in both are cars for a Sienna (for wife, there is a soccer mom car) and an XB2 for me. My daughter loves both of them for different reasons.

Age=42.

By the way, every time I see an XB1, I think CLASSIC. If you have one, take good care of it. For our needs the XB2 fits better, but the XB1 has classic written all over it.

^ why yes, I certainly am gonna take care of my gen 1. I want a gen 2 but I don't want to drive a car that people buy to haul the kiddies around. Let alone with things that I want on my mine that they'll have on there's. It won't be MY unique xB2. Catch my drift?

I'm 30 and considering it, just about settled it'll be my next vehicle, due to decent MPG and I like the styling. It has a certain fun factor to it because it's different from most other vehicles. I wish they would've put in a 5 speed shiftable auto transmission but other than that I think it's a well equipped car for the price. I just came out of a VW Jetta 1.8t with quite abit of work and it was fun to drive as well as fuel efficient even if I drove her hard but I(my girl really) want(s) an auto now, can't do manual anymore. :-/ She just got a Mazda 3 and it's a great little car too actually but you have to baby it to get good MPG and I wanted to go really affordable so the xB fits the bill nicely.

I believe the new xB will be very popular among the 30-40 year old crowd as a minivan replacement , aka youngish family with kids , the first gen xB I think was more low to high twenties but it's funkiness appealed to a large agerange of buyers

the new xB's versatility will be it's selling point.
the old xB , it's funkiness
