Default ive just saved alot of money on my car insurance

okay. i just switched to geico and its true. i did end up saving a handful on my insurance.
ill be honest and say im not the best driver.
actually...my last traffic violation ended with the officer telling me, "you have the worst driving record i have ever seen". so i suppose i need all the help i can get.

-is everyone else happy with their car insurance company?
-anyone have interesting stories?

after filling out rate quotes from every possible place i could imagine on the internet...progressive, esurance, and such...and after finding out my monthly payments get bumped up $200 after they give me the ballpark figure...

it took me a short amount of time to switch over.

i pretty much needed it because my old insurance company wanted to "let me go".

geico reps were the most helpful to me, and i ended up saving the most.

finding insurance for a car is so much harder than finding a car IMO.
i dont ever want to do this again for another couple of years at least.

I have State Farm and I'm quite happy with them, I'm paying $77 bucks a month for "full" coverage. They are also quite good with paying out very promptly on claims, I know since I deal with them on a daily basis at work (Allstate).

I have State Farm and my driving record isn't that great. I haven't had a speeding ticket in years. For some reason I seem to get into accidents yearly (almost to the day). I pay about $200/month which I don't think is bad at all.

I had Geico for many years and was happy with their service until I got into an accident (not my fault). It was in 2002, I had a 2002 Honda Civic at the time, less than 9000 miles on it and they wanted to replace the parts with aftermarket parts, they didn't care that the car was still new and they wouldn't budge when I requested OEM parts to repair the car. After several weeks and several calls to their corporate office, they gave in and replaced with OEM parts. I dropped them after that. I have Wawanesa now, they along with less than a handful replace with OEM parts when the car is wrecked. Just something to ask when looking for an insurance company.

Thats what I heard about Gieco and other smaller companys like Esurance. They will get you covered for less, but when the poop hits the fan, you get screwed. they will send your car to specific body shops. They will only pay up to a certain about for labor..(Dealership body shops are out of the question) and they will estimate your claim to the lowest they can....So you are forced to use aftermarket parts and some cheap butt body shop. Oh and if you mess up a few times they will drop you quick.

I have Farmers and considering my record they have continued to cover me...even at times when I thought i shouldve have been dropped. So for about 170 a month, i am pretty happy. It pays to have a local agent.

i have had geico for over 10 years, with 3 major claims (2 vehicles totaled, and one transmission replacement).
not really an issue.

50.00 a month on the xB. 65.00 a month on the M3. No tickets in 10 years, no claims in 15. However, I'm an old fart.

Whispaz...I'm not too sure if you've heard about it or seen it on the news yet or not, but here in a little bit MA is switching to "competitive insurance". So instead of getting bent over by local companies and more often than not paying WAY too much for coverage.

I can only assume that the "big guys" will end up covering MA..and I can't wait because I'm sick of having NC plates...I want my good ol' MA tags to so that I can proudly display to everyone the I am a M_______...whether I am at home or not!

Yea, well, my Geico is coming in at $850 every 6 months...

Same coverage with Progressive is only $577...

So I'm pretty much done with the gecko.

Starting May 1st you can get Progressive, I think thats all so far, but they should be cheaper than about any other option, at least in your state.

That rate for the m3 is just sexy as hell. I give you a congrats for the good driving record. It's hard not to be involved in some sort of accident nowadays with all the idiots on their phones and eating and stuff. I know it's been happening for a while, but just annoys me when I see a lady wearing a nice business suit driving on the highway drinking a 24oz miller lite on the way home from work. What a _____, I should have taken a crap and threw it on her car.

Just wait till you turn 25, you should see a huge decrease in your premium.

Geico's quote was $350 a year more than Pemco for me.
I recently added my daughter and her car, and MY premium actually went down $100 for the year.
Plus, they had had my car listed as an 07, when I had them change it to an 08, it went down another Benjamin!
Whoo Hoo
