Looking for some help
Well I have been a member here not very active as I also belong to 3si.org which recently was what I owned. I still own the vehicle but I wrecked it the other day. Sad loved the car to death. Now I am in process of ripping it apart and getting what money I can out of it. Have to pay some things back
Ok to my main question I am looking to increase fun factor (i.e. hp tq maybe some mpg and def some looks) What would people recommend doing as not to break the wallet? I would love to lower it when I can afford to and put dif rims and so on. I saw a pulley and throttle body spacer combo for 100 bucks said it added total roughly 10hp and near 10 tq give or take dont remember exactly. But it also said it increases 3mpg on there test tc? Is this a accurate statement or just stupid claim? I dont know much about this platform at all and well since I dont have my sports car anymore and will have this might as well start having fun with the xb some. Just some simple things for now cheap upgrades like 100-300 upgrade at a time roughly. Also whats a good axel back exhuast that wont give our cars the dread honda sound LMAO!? Also what is a good cheap intake? Something respectable Thanks guys
For thos who dont know me I am kyle

Ok I 'll throw in my 2 cents first!!
I would recommend the tenzo CAI for about 100$ plus shipping from Ebay or maybe even tenzo. MAy want to check price on that one but I am in ball park. THe sound is explosive around 3 k on the road, Installatioin isa breeze and It adds between 5 and 10 Hp as well. Also for cosmetics the Weathertech vent shades are a nice look!!

Here's what I would do first to your xb first before anything
1) suspension - lowering springs/struts or coilovers & also sway bar(s)
2) tires - the stock ones SUCK,
3) hid kit - stay in the 4300k-5000k range

Tanabe DF or NF springs will lower your ride and not break the bank... Plus they are quality products...
Also on eBay you can find a full catback exhaust for around $175... From the reviews i have read it is worth the price and doesnt sound like rice...
and lastly i recommend a rear sway bar... I have the TRD and love it... search around and you can find one for a good price... or go Hotchkis f/r sways...

None of the axle-backs will make a dramatic change in exhaust tone. The reason why is: most of the sound is dampened by the huge resonator (aka scuba tank) under the car, before the axle back. YouTube has a few clips of the Borla axle back, which basically removes the stock muffler and replaces it with a pipe. It isn't loud or ricey, its kinda quiet for my tastes. (And for the price) See if you can get a video clip of the HKS or Tanabe axle-backs, if I recall, those sounded pretty decent.
only 10-15hp? I want to have the ability to turbo this thing in the future so trying to stay away from parts that will need replaced even if I am slopw for the time being. Just want simple things and things that will help handle some of the power maybe 5 years down teh road. Coilovers will def be a possibilty any coilover kits other then ksports? I dont like ksports whatsoever and dont want to buy them. looking at 17-18s and low pro tires and slamming it to all but sit on the ground
Hey I am one to pay for things the right way lol. Do it right the first time and you wont have to do it a second time. Oh BTW I went into my dealer and tlked ot the mechanics who normally does the installs and he said coilovers shouldnt be avaiable for this car cuz of the non-independent suspension why did he say this and there are coilovers out there for us?
He has to be. I remember looking at them. Guess no one ever upgrades there suspension through the dealers anymore. Its not like its hard lol. Now I noticed a strut and a spring separate on the rear do the coilovers come together like they did on my 3000gt or will they be separate like on there now
