Make, model...

On all my paperwork - dealer papers, DMV registration & insurance, by xB2 is listed as:

Make - Toyota
Model - Scion xB

I was surprised by this...isn't Scion the Make?

Are you in PA? My PennDOT paperwork also listed the car as a Toyota Scion xB.

its probably b/c the VIN number is Toyota... it IS made by Toyota.... your VIN number starts with JT thats Japan Toyota .. so the insurance company might take it as the VIN suggests..?

I'm in MA.

Isn't lexus also made by toyota? anyone have a lexus that lists toyota as the make? are toyota/lexus as closely 'related' as toyota/scion?

Toyota has two more divisions. In the Luxury dept. is Lexus while Scion is more geared towards a younger demographic. But they are all the same (company-wise)

Many car companies are similar (ie- Honda=Acura, VW=Audi, etc...)

My insurance company calls my xB2 a "van"...

I only just got the temp reg. card... tossed it into the glove box without a second look...
