Basically used all the stock holes n parts. but used some self tapping screws to just drill the inside of the rear wheel wells. no real easy or fun way to do that.

 

Since they are one size fit all, you may have to cut it to fit. Then cut holes in the flaps where the holes in your fender are. Use self tapping screws to secure. I have them on my RS and put them on a bunch of STi's. They are a great product and do the job well. All the ones I have done are pre-fit though.

 

Time to break out the butter knife.

Hmm...well I just examined my Xb and it looks like new holes have to be drilled to get these style flaps to go on. I don't know if I want to do that...

Trev-Yea if someone (or me) find a feasible solution to mounting them then we will all have a really sick option for flaps now.

 

I have the ebay flaps and they've held up great. I don't have the instructions in front of me, but I do remember that I had to remove the back wheels and drill holes to mount the flaps. I distinctly remember there being a very slight but present "nipple" that stuck out where you needed to drill the holes in the lip of the fender. I'm sure it may be more involved for the universal ones, but I imagine it would be a decent place to start?

 

There's only one way to mount them...time to get the dremel out! And to make a good long term seal between the flap and fender, you could always put some 3m double side adhesive on as well.

 

post up how u did it and i will follow suit. i got to order the parts/lug wrench (need a shallow one) to get my wheels off

 

I haven't done it. I still don't know if I want to drill new holes.
That was just my idea, and the 3m double side would prevent dirt and crud from getting between the flap and wheel well.

 

yea but idk how well that world hold in snow. id like it if things were tight in there.

 

Drill the hole slightly smaller than the screws and it will be held on tight.
