Painted the calipers red, a cheap and easy mod.

Took some pics at a local park and then, like a moron, locked my keys in the car. Had to walk a couple miles to go home and get the spare key.
Oh well, it was a good excuse to go get a slurpee.

I like the decals. I'm definitely going to pick up a set. I just need to decide if I want white, or silver to match my wheels.

Yeah, the seller is craig111779. I think he also will make custom decals, cheap too, like $7.
Did you put your one wet, or dry? The instructions seem a little confusing to me. He spends a paragraph describing the benefits of applying vinyl graphics wet, and then ends the paragraph with the following:
(dry for caliper decals is probably best)
That kind of threw me for a loop. Then I realized he sells other vinyl graphics, not jut caliper decals and the instruction sheet isn't specific to the brake decals.
So, did you just apply your dry?

But, I also love my RS6.0. The Absolutely Red paint was the clincher for me. The nav and interior mods are nice extras, but as soon as I saw it in red, I knew I had to have one. My last "fun" car was a red 1984 Honda CRX. After 25 years of pick-ups and minivans, I wanted another fun red car and the RS6.0 was my dream come true. It meets all my needs as a daily driver, a second family car (for a family of 5), and something I actually LIKE to drive and mod.
With the economy the way it is, I think Scion as smart to keep the cost of the RS6.0 down. Of course, keeping the cost down means fewer extras. Or, to look at it another way - more money left to customize my box.
I took advantage of the cash-for-clunkers program to purchase my RS6.0 - which mean that if you bought you RS3.0 new, I actually paid less for my RS6.0. I'll probably end up putting most of the $3600 cash-for-clunkers rebate back into my ride, but when I do, I'll have one sweet box that still only cost me about $19K. I've already burned through about $1600 of c-f-c rebate, but I've added new wheels and tires, Tanabe NF210 lower springs, G2 epoxy brake caliper paint kit (and Scion decals), Sharkfin antenna, Momo Combat EVO shift ****, Wheelskins Eurotone leather steering wheel cover, Redline leather shift boot and emergency brake boot and blackout paint behind the front grill. That still leaves me about $2000 left. So, maybe a 5-axis lip kit, a CAI, and new exhaust. Perhaps some Clazzio leather seat covers and a JL Audio Stealth subwoofer. Who knows? There are so many possibilities.
In the end, in addition to the red color, I think the best thing about the RS6.0 is that by keeping the price down, Scion allows buyers like me to have enough cash left over to truly customize our cars. So, my RS6.0 will look different than everyone else's RS6.0. And I think that's cool. There are two other RS6.0s near where I live. I've only had mine a little over a month, and it's already very easy to tell mine from the other two. I like that. The other two look nice, but they are different than mine. I like that variety.
So, by all means, keep lovin' your RS3.0, but don't hate on my RS6.0. There's really no need for it.

Thanks again for the heads up on the caliper decals. Mine arrived yesterday. I'll probably put them on today. $6.50 including shipping. Combine that with the low cost of the caliper paint and that makes this a very cost effective mod.

Yeah, I just threw mine on dry. They are so small that it isn't really worth the effort to apply wet.
How well does the Duplicolor caliper paint match the Absolute Red of your RS6.0? The G2 red is definitely more reddish orange than the paint on my car. I'm not saying the G2 paint is orange, just that it's not an exact match for the Scion Absolutely Red paint. Most folks probably wouldn't notice, but I'm rather sensitive to small differences in colors.

Thanks man. I didn't have to change springs to accommodate the wheels, I did it to lower the car and get rid of some of that fender gap. With the new springs the car feels a little more planted while turning but overall the ride isn't much different.
oh ok, gotcha. So if I wanted to change the wheels from the stock 16 to 18" aftermarket tires/rims, no other modification would have to be done I'm assuming right?
