Default NEED ADVICE..........FINANCES AND SUCH

Alright well let me warn you I am going to ramble a bit so hopefully to the few that actually read all of this and respond I appreciate it.

I currently own a 2008 scion xB.....duh; I traded in my first gen which I financed along with this car......Long story short I owe about $16,750 left to pay off. Basically My first car= the money left I owed on the loan. Financed the second with basically no money down.

I am trying to figure out if I should sell or if I should keep making payments; love the car to death but its such a burden along with my debt. If you can help me I would appreciate it. I am going to list what I have and maybe get a ballpark figure of what I could get for it.

2008 Scion xB(black(
17,000 miles
Exterior
-Aftermarket billet grille painted black along with fake air ducts
-HID's(can't remember brand)
-16" sportmax rims with brand new falken tires
-Smoked tails(also have stock set too)
-Smoked reverse lightI(also have stock one)
-Reverse Camera
-Black tint on rear windows

Interior
-PANCQVD6503U(In-dash Double Din DVD Player...connects to rear view camera)
-Garmin GPS on dash
-Dynamated the complete interior

Performance
-Strup Axle-back Exhaust

Suspension
-TRD Front strut bar
-TRD Rear Sway Bar
-Tanabe DF springs

The only thing that is really f-d up is that I have a cut-out of my 15" flipdown so there are 4 holes and a tennis ball sized square where the flipdown was.

**Also have a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty on it**

I am trying to get a 1996 Acura TL 2.5 for $3,000 which seems ehhh

150,000 miles roughly.....acura is a decent and Im sure i am going to have to put money into it from time to time but please someone chime in.

Dude, Keep your car! Your box is going to last way more than the acura. Also, this is your first year of payments on the car, I know right you pay alot of interested but with time you get 16k down to 0.

Yeah dude, i just traded my RS3 in for a gen2 and my payments went up to almost 400 a month but im gonna stick it out because I love this xB, and whats the point of buying a car ur gonna have to put money into? The xB will last you forever. Just keep up on the general maintenance.

Honestly I doubt you will be able to sell your XB, for what you owe some one can buy a new one with no miles for a bit more than what you owe. I would either try to stick with it and maybe find other ways to save money. Your credit may be in jepordy. Sorry to sound negative, good luck. Remember most people wont care about any of the modifications even if they are getting a better deal.

Refinance for a longer term. If you have a 7 year 100k mile warranty you can take a new loan out for a longer term and have your car backed by your warranty. If you get rid off it you going to lose money on the Box and buying a used car you will have to invest alot. Acura's are high maintenance and expensive to fix, especially after 150k.

If you have $3000 to buy an acura send that to your bank and refinance the box.

came up with this

Excellent

Look s like you already have found car, so you just need to get the most for your XB.
I would go to the dealership and get the warranty refunded. They will prorate it and because the car has such low miles you will get most of what you paid for it back. I figure you paid between $1500 and $2000 for the warranty so if you get 80% of it back that would put you close to what you can sell the car for. When you go in to the dealership they will try to convince you to keep the warranty by telling you that you can get more for your car if it has a warranty. Don't listen it makes little to no difference in the selling price whether a car has a warranty or not. Especially on a car that is known for being very reliable. I own a small dealership and I am speaking from experience. I hope this helps.

If you have all the stock parts i would put them on and sell the aftermarket stuff... No one will really care that you added stuff anyways... I would be interested in some of your part too...

It may take more time, but you'll end up with more money if you sell the aftermarket stuff separately. (probably a good idea to leave the deck and the rear view cam, that will get people interested). Try getting a refund on the warranty too.
You got any pics of the damage you did with the 15" flipdown?
