Exclamation Need help fast!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so last week or so I was driving doing about 100mph in 4th gear at 5500rpm. While I was driving the car sputter and the check engine light came on and then the car seemed fine. Was about 5 days and it was completely fine. Now the car as I was almost home sputtered check engine light vsc and traction control lights all came on. VSC is blinking. I was coming up the driveway in 3rd gear and the car was sputtering like crazy. I came to a stop and the car was rocking bad from teh sputter. No power at all. And this time i was at 45mph at 3500-4500 rpm

check your intake. make sure its all connected. and the MAF sensor is still in place. that happened to me once. it uncoupled itself and the engine just started dying.

I agree check your MAF sensor. If its not that, have it checked out. You may have blown something. Although always start with the small things then check the big things.

Damn dude ! I don't travel anywhere near that speed, but I don't see why it would be a problem . It could be anything from a wiring problem, sensor problem, to maybe even a filter ! I wish you luck and am interested in the diagnosis.

If it was the MAF the RPM's would pulsate. If its not doing that then I would assume thats not the problem. I wish I could hear it becuase it sounds like you're not firing on all pistons. Which isn't good.

Take your car to a Toyota dealership and have it scanned. Its going to cost you about 90$ but you'll know exactly whats wrong with it.

You have a 08? Did your vin # fall under the TSB for the engine wire harness?

I'm pretty sure there was never a recall for this; however, the TSB is in the package of xB2 technical files I posted earlier. I think you downloaded them already, so take a look.

Here's the thread with the wiring harness TSB info & discussion. The actual VIN cutoffs for auto & manual trans are on page 2, post 27.

Was very little oil. smelled it more then anything. Just replaced them a hour ago. will test them out tomorrow and see what happens. I can replicate the issue. so shouldn't be a problem figuring out if it was the plugs or not.
