New to Scion and my new xB
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I picked up my new Silver xB this past Wednesday. I have been lurking around here for a few weeks before getting the car picking up some good tidbits of info. It basically will be my daily driver, but it will see a few mods along the way I'm sure (already ordred a HID kit for it).
Its silver with 5speed and the basic stock stereo. Winters are hard up here (lake effect snow country), so I will probably put snow tires on the stock steelies and get some 17's for the summer.
I'm a guy who likes wagons ( have had various ones oveer the years - ford escort wagon, saturn lw2 wwagon, VW Passat wagon) as thier utlility and efficencey appeal to me, so the little xB naturally appealed to me. It reminds me more of a slightly tall wagon, as oppsoed to a minivan or a SUV.
Have put around 400 miles on it already and have been enjoying it a bunch. I love the car's ultility as I needs the space in the back to haul around stuff on occasion for my business. Clutch action is a little weird and taking some gettting used to compared to the VWs I usually drive, but otherwise it has been allot of fun. Many of my car nut freiends (VW/Audi car enthusiasts) are also real impressed with the car now that they have gotten a close look at it. My other car (summer fun toy) is a 2003 GTI with many mods.
My xB! Thaks for reading!

I hope the new ipods have no problesm interfacing with the stereo!Given the winters (lots of sand and small stone particles on the road) and all the bugs we have up here in the summer, I am also seriously thinking about getting the car clearbra'd to protect the large flat nose it has.

I have the Clearbra on my GTI, have been extremely happy with it. Its not inexpensive though, expecially for the xB which has allot of frontal surface area. It makes cleaning bugs off the front of the car much easier and will prevent lots of chips in the paint.
