The economy sucked last year too, and they sold every RS 5.0 in the series. Having a sought after limited edition car in the $20k range that will maintain its "collector" status is exactly what people want when they are looking at what their car purchasing dollar will get them. Not producing the RS 6.0 is the worst decision Scion could make. While I personally will never own a bright red car (unless somebody wants to give me one ), the vast majority of responses I have seen are not only positive, but many current standard xB2 owners have mentioned the desire to trade theirs in to get the Absolute Red 6.0... except Glor.

Attention Scion: are you listening?

There was one RS 5.0 I would see everyday on my commute to work at Toyota of Irving and it sat on the lot for MONTHS.

I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota didn't release the 6.0 any time soon. The economy is only getting worse and cars are sitting on lots because no one can get approved for a loan.

Not sure how Toyota handles their dealers, but when I worked for Acura, as soon as a car "landed" on the lot we owned it and started paying flooring costs and interest. As far as American Honda Motor Company was concerned, they had sold the car.

I'd rather have the factory stamped moonroof over a NAV unit.

I can install my own Nav, but I wouldn't cut a hole in my roof.

And I'll say it again, Absolutely red is a stock color on the $12k Yaris.

RS5 FTW.

Sounds like toyota is trying to make up for lost revenue during the recession with some the recycled options, especially the paint. Even with the other parts it doesnt justify the mark up. I'm sure its gonna look nice in the red, but its not a special color

I digg the red, but dont think i will trade in my 08 for one... I do want the top grill though... too bad it will be nearly impossible to get even if they do release the car... plus it would cost a lot...
