Does anyone know if the new pioneer units (The upgraded one) that you can get with the 2nd gen xB's will:

A) Fit in an older xa/xb

B) Use the same inputs for the aux input , ipod jacks and steering wheel controls as the old one

C) have 3 sets of RCA jacks or just one set for a sub.

You know what it will work but in the case of the Navigation head unit you have to wire in some extra hookups. If you just drop a Premium Headunit into an older vehicle should be a Plug and Play.

 

I figured that it would fit, my biggest concern was the amount of RCA jacks on the head unit. I have a 5 channel amp so I would need 3 sets of RCA jacks to take advantage of that. I want to go with the Pioneer/Scion unit because I want to keep my steering wheel controls and Ipod hookup. If it only has one set of RCA jacks then I would have to go with an aftermarket unit.

 

There are many posts on this, it has 3 sets of RCAs.
