Default Noise in rear of 2008 xB when turned off...

Hi Everyone,

I was out applying a new license tag sticker to my xB and I noticed it making some noise in the rear underside of the car. Car was off and alarm was on. Does anyone know what type of periodic test it might be doing when the car is off that might sound like this?

Thanks,

Alan

The alarm should not be making any type of noise and especially not toward the rear of the car. I suspect it is something else but would need to know what type of noise it is.

Evap system runs periodic tests to make sure everything is ok. Charcoal cannister is in the rear.

I hear this 'pump' noise as well on my 08, normal.
