Optima Yellow Top
My xb has 37k miles and my battery died.
Does anyone know if a yellow top will fit in there?
If not, any suggestions on a similar performing battery to the optima? Planning another system and want to take some preventative measures
Thanks!

Sweet!
Does it fit without a problem? Like drop in and go? I have a feeling I'm going to go to pepboys or other similar auto parts store and have to install it there. My car will need a jump in the morning to get it started.
Amazon said it wouldn't fit.
I will be doing audio stuff

Do you listen to your music with the engine off or leave your lights on a lot? If so then yes. If not, you may want to check for parasitic draw. Also, I would try a DieHard Platinum from Sears. Its an Odyssey battery in a different case, and Odysseys are reported to do very well.
So I went ahead with the yellow top optima. The only issue with the installation is the fact that the optima is shorter than my stock battery. Meaning that the clamp wont secure the new one in place. I think I may just place a block of wood in there to make up the difference in size.
Any other suggestions?

I saw that you're a Fi guy... I'm planning a semi-stealthish build (mostly to save space for hauling ____) Do you have any experience with the Fi q12? I'm thinking of running one of those in a fiberglass enclosure similar to that JL situation. Probably going to power it with a AQ1200d and an HC800 in the back. If you don't, that's totally cool too. I just like talking audio!
