I was told by a dealer this morning that the Pioneer Premium Radio Option is a 6 disc cd unit. The website does not mention it being 6 disc. Is this correct ?

I will say that the standard is nice. It is in my 08 that I just picked up. Runs the ipod. Great sound.

I did test drive one with the premium radio. Same sound. GREAT controls. Worth the extra dough? tough call

 

Interesting. I went back today and test drove one with the premium sound and it sounded a little better to me at the higher volume levels. The stock radio was very nice though. I did think the controls on the premium were a little bit difficult to make some changes, but I imagine that most just set it and forget it.

Now i just need to decide what color I want.

I went with black, but it was a close call between that and the blackberry. The final straw for me was that the dealer had a black and had no idea when he was going to get a blackberry. My third choice would be white.

What would look really cool would be if the first RS for the new xB was a flat grey like the Audi TT. I think that would look pretty damn hot.

My wife's seriously thinking about trading in her Durango for one after we get the new one paid off. (Which won't be anywhere near as long as the loan, thankfully.) She'd probably go for white.

 

I am trying to buy a teal auto xB with the standard radio and am told that in the SE region, all the xB's are coming equipped with the extra cost radio. What gives? Is Scion/Toyota just being greedy?

 

A lot of ports are installing the upgraded HU in cars that have not been ordered. Tell your dealer to order one, and when it come's in, they shouldn't put it in there.

I didn't care less, but I am much happier now I have the upgraded HU becuase of the look and the controls.

 

It's a launch thing, it should calm down shortly.

 

We ordered our SW and waited one week. We got the regular stereo. The only option we got was the floor mats (My wife told them we wanted them.)
