Default Over filled engine oil

I always have done my own oil changes for the last 35 years until last weekend I was just tired and my back was hurting so I decided to take it to F.S. and let them do it since it wasn't that much. I looked at the dipstick when I got home and it looked high but I didn't wipe down the stick so I figured it was good ,( mostly concerned that they didn't put enough in )
This weekend I checked it again and it was about an inch past the overfill line, I drained it down and it looked to be at least 3/4 to 1 qrt. to much. Does anyone think that this much oil for that period of time driving about 50 miles a day and a little this weekend and last weekend? I am a little concerned because I just had my oil consumption problem repaired under the enhanced warranty a couple months ago.

Not if it's only a quart. In racing, overfilling is encouraged in some circumstances.

Not sure if I would want to syphon out oil with my mouth but then it can't be much worse than when I syphoned gas out of my parents and neighbors cars to fuel my dirt bike as a kid.

Should be fine.. Wouldn't worry about it too much..

Just from now on, if you bring it some place, always have a few paper towels with you to check it before you drive away.. ;)

Do not drive it with that much oil. Excess oil with case overheating and permanent damage to crankcase seals.
