You can get the VHT Niteshades via the eBay. Quite a few people have used it.

Here is a good guide to tinting a tc's taillight but it's the same process for any light. Just make sure to use some kind of clearcoat cause otherwise the VHT will come off in about a month. The Duplicolor stuff from Advance auto works well if you can't get the stuff he uses.

This is what I did for mine and for the rest of the Scikotics Ft. Lauderdale chapter:

1. Sand light with 2000 grit sand paper
2. Clean very very thoroughly with soap and water
3. Remove any access dust or moist areas
4. Spray on VHT or other (**see below**)
5. Depending on how dark you want it, you may need to spray it more than once over and in that case wait at least 20 mins between coats if not longer
6. Let the paint cure overnight or for at least 4-5 hours
7. Clean thoroughly once again
8. Sand with 2000 grit again
9. Spray clear coat using the same rules as the tint spray

**There is a product on eBay called Vans. It is similar to VHT Niteshades, but it comes out ALOT cleaner, clearer and shinier. If you use this, clear coat may not be necessary.

Another option is to go to your local paint shop, have them mix up a batch of clearcoat and black paint and spray the lights. Not sure what the ratio would be as I have never done this method before.

Let me know how it works out for ya.

I found your moms panty hose works well too for tinting lenses.

It's definitely doable.

And so people know, it's not the actual clear coat you would want to mix with body color, or black, for that matter. Most (if not all) clear coats are catalyzed. Auto paint stores have a clear base, not a clear coat. You can mix the clear base with the black or body color, whatever.

Working for a custom shop for a few years has had it's perks. :D
