Passing through the fire wall

Default Passing through the fire wall

Im planning to wire up my 08 for a system. does anyone know the best place to go throught the firewall?? And is there an easy way to feed the wire through
the last time i did this was on my 89 nissan truck and there was alot more space in the engine bay to work with lol.

look to see if there is a rubber boot with lines going through it, then you can stick a wire coat hanger through and use it to pull the wires in.

I would ask Randode. I think he has the most experience with the 08 next b.

Believe it or not--Toyota only makes about four different firewalls. You should find a rubbery gommet where the wires pass through from the engine compartment to the interior. Carefully punch through there with a large phillips screwdriver. That is where I went to install my Randode engine compartment lights per the directions.

Ok guys just did it.
Found out the easiest way to do it.
Take a phillips screw driver, put a straw on the end of it, and work your way through the firewall.
Pull out the screwdriver and presto!! you got yourself a path to pass wires through

Up under the glove box was my choice. More effort since the battery is on the driver's side but access was easy from inside and outside via the large grommet up under a passenger's toes.

no. all you do it poke a hole in the rubber grommet. unless you look very carefully at the grommet you cant see that its cut.
