Only 6 months old. The guy I hit was 18 on the cell phone and blew the red light. Weird thing is he was driving the same car and year but black. Now I wait for my insurance and GAP coverage to pay it off and buy a new one. Only had 7800 miles or so.

I agree glad your okay! looks like the front end wadded before the firewall so all is good it did its job to keep you safe! It doesnt look like you did any mods or anything so at least it didnt have sentimental value that way. Look at it this way now u have the opportunity to get an '09

 

Wow, how fast were you going when the accident occured? I can't believe how much damage there is to the front.

I was going 35 mph, he was going around 40 mph (speed limit on his road so it's a guess). I am ok my seatbelt probably saved my life. All I got from it was a couple scrapes on my knees from under the dash, sore shoulder from seat belt and sore chest from air bag. I also got lucky that he admitted to the officer that he was guilty of blowing the red.

 

I think I just died a little on the inside...

I agree.

While he was just another unattentive driver via cell phone, I would have to compliment him on his honesty. Especially at his age, in these times. Where it seems like they are SO few, and far between.

 

Wow i'm sorry i just went through that in september with my 05 xB. it sucks, but it actaully all worked out pretty good. btw does your airbag say rumion on it? just curious my old xb said bB on the airbag. lol

 

That sucks! But thats hella funny too see 2 xBs run into each other..better yet if they were a 1st gen and the new gen. at least your getting another new box.
