Please lock this thread, it is out of control kthxbye
california doesn't really have a clear track record on voting (who's your governor?).
but a place like washington, i don't even have to vote in the presidential elections, because it's guaranteed my state's electoral votes will go democrat. (and it's now obvious, the number of popular votes don't win elections)

Austin is an educated, and would be a cool place to live for people. Probably the only city in the entire state of texas that votes democrat and isn't filled to the brim with super-walmart size churches.
I lived in TX for a year (Corpus Christi) & just WOW. I wont get into it, but DAMN it sucked! I spent a lot of time in the other major TX cities & learned a few things about that enormous state.
Anyways, Austin IS NOT Texas. For what its worth, Austin prides itself on being the most un-Texas like city ever & you would never know you were in the state unless you looked at a map.
Just saying.

I have lived in a lot of places & you would be surprised how many cities in the south are not backwards hick towns like you might think.
Nashville & Knoxville TN are cool & are filled with educated people. Charleston SC, Richmond VA, and even all the way down to Key West FL have culture & open minded people.
What were we talking about again?? Oh, yeah. The new xB sucks.
