"range" miles at fill up
does everyone get the same reading when you fill up?
mine always say 375 miles right when I fill up.
I usually get ~320 when the light comes on...am averaging 32mpg.
I'm thinking my obsessive behavior during the break-in period has paid off...I was completely militant about not breaking 65 and varying my speeds, not revving the engine, etc. Other drivers hated me...

I don't think it has to do with how you broke in the engine, but more-so the day of the week production made your engine (wednesday delivers highest quality!)
But honestly, I really didn't do a strict break-in period for mine and just ensured I did all types of driving. Light and hard. I rev'd it pretty high during break in once the engine was warmed up.
My range at fillup is anywhere from 345-378. I get on average 29-32.5 MPG consistently. Light comes on around 320-340.
So my guess is, you ____ed people off during break in for no reason!

when I switched from stock rubber to Falkens I lost 3 mpg
I have to reassess all of my gas math now. it used to be like clockwork tho, I could easily get 375 from a tank and definitely could have gotten 400 but no more...

mine always always reads 342 after i fill up, i noticed that you get more miles per gallon if you use mid grade. super doesnt do much more than that. i put a tornado fuel saver in mine just cuz i had it laying around from my old car a few years ago and i get 30-33 highway, so i guess its not really doing anything if other people are getting the same mileage without it.

I always use mid grade too...
I usually do hybrid driving (60% city, 40% highway) and get around 300 miles to a tank which is around 24-25mpg. The DTE miles was generally under 300 miles after every fill up. This past weekend I took a trip to santa cruz using an entire tank, got 29mpg on the highway (actual, not using the display, though it said 30.5mpg). I filled up last night and the DTE now reads 320 miles.
I'm just about to hit 1k miles.. I would love to know how you guys get such good gas mileage.. Cionide said it best... It must be a so cal thing.. I'm averaging 24mpg per tank and about 280-300 miles/tank. I'm not driving it "spirited" or anything, But i just can't seem to figure out how you guys are doing it. Just wondering....
