I sat down to wax and undercoat my xb this weekend and was in a bit of a surprise.

THe roof has black lines along the creases on top as well as large water stains. It took about an hour to wash those off. Is this normal? I am using macquires nzt 2.0 wax and put a good coat on the roof as well as the rest of the car.

Also, I see when it rains, I get a few gallons of water runn off my roof to my windshield and driver side window. I see the drain by the windshield was plugged and til the next rain storm left the rails off so they would not get covered in wax and to see if that helps channel the water better after it rains.

Is this a good idea? Thanks.
