Good luck... Most here just deal with it. I have heard two cars catching on fire during the TSB (unlikely, yes... but interesting), and others being repaired only to have it come back. Honestly, I would just turn up your radio!

Has anyone actually got this fixed and the creak go away, for good?

Mine does it but the radio takes care of it. There is no way Im allowing a toyota "tech" remove the front end and fenders to drill some holes in the unibody. I dont want scratches and misaligned panels when I get it back.

Amen to that! I'd rather live with the creak than let some Toyota tire and oil changer.... errr... "tech" make things far worse. In 35 years of owning, driving and wrenching my own motorcycles and cars, I've never @#$%-ed up anything nearly as badly as most of the so-called "professionals" that I have regrettably permitted to lay their ignorant, unskilled hands upon my motor vehicles. Not to say that all Pro mechanics are ignorant and unskilled but the percentage is alarming.

Mine sounds more like a metal bar or support "tinging" inside the pillar. Is this the same sound everyone else is hearing?

Is the noise you're hearing in the A-pillar or the B-pillar?
See if these threads sound like your problem. If so, the last one is the solution.
