Default special tool to remove fasteners?....

Can someone show me what tool Toyota uses to remove these fasteners? The whole "pry the middle out with a screwdriver, then pry the whole fastener out of the hole" is annoying and destruction....

Amazon.com: PT Auto Warehouse CPA040-15 - 15pcs per Pack, Bumper Push-Type Retainer Clips - Fasteners; Replaces OE #: 52161-16010, 52161-02020: Automotive Amazon.com: PT Auto Warehouse CPA040-15 - 15pcs per Pack, Bumper Push-Type Retainer Clips - Fasteners; Replaces OE #: 52161-16010, 52161-02020: Automotive

there has got to be a tool that lets you reuse them without destroying them?

I've always used a screw driver / pocket knife and have NEVER destroyed any of those. I dunno what your doing to destroy them, but perhaps have a little more patience and try not to gorilla them out. ^_^ BTW....welcome fellow Portlandian!

That's the thing though, I am generally very careful with those silly fasteners, but no matter how careful I was, i still broke the two I pulled yesterday while mounting my OEM mudflaps...I found a tool on ebay that should work, so i will be buying that soon.....

Do you have a link to pics of your ride? I want to know what it looks like in case I ever see you around town...there are so many Gen 2 xBs here in Portland, but very few modified, which mine will be in about a week....lowering springs, rear spoiler, new 18" wheels and tires all arriving the end of this week, beginning of next...can't wait to get it all installed...cant stand driving around a stock vehicle...lol!

Thanks, I like'em too. ^_^
They are the Avid.1 av-06 18x8 wheels. I'm now wishing I had gotten the 18x8.5 wheels.

they look great!

I went conservative for my first set of wheels....I found a used set of these below...theyre 18x7.5 et39 with 215/45-18 new tires that I bought for them....they'll be on by Monday...then I have to go to my friend's house on Wednesday and install the lowering springs and the rear spoiler....THEN I'll be happy with the xB
