Default Tint help please! Tinting tomorrow...

I am about to get my car tinted tomorrow and I had a few questions, I would ask the tint people but I would rather trust u guys lol... Anywayz I want to tint the sides 35% (legal in hawaii) and the backs 5%... But if I tint the backs 5% would they remove stock tints? If not wouldnt that be close to like... 0% visibility lol... Also If I did have 5% tints in the back would it be difficult to see through the back at nights? Anyone got some picks they wanna post?

Thanks!

They don't remove the stock tinting, it's not an overlay like aftermarket tint. 5% rear added to stock privacy glass will be more like 2%; VERY DARK. 50% on top of the stock front side window tint should be a little above 35% when done. A good tint shop will have a tint meter; have them slip the meter over your glass with different tints, to see where you get closest to 35% without going lower. This way you will know that when a cop pulls you over & checks your tint that you will still be legal.

Thanks! So what would you recommend for the back side windows and gate window? What percent would be good without it being hard 2 see at night...

I had 10% put on my back windows. It makes it pretty much impossible to look in the back with cupping your hands but it's still easy to see out of for me.

Here's some pics to give you an idea. The fronts are legal which is 27% here in SC.
