Default Toyota Corolla Rumion / JDM 2nd Gen xB?

Any of you guys ever heard about Toyota Rumion? I was recently checking new bB pics / info - and found out that USDM Scion xB Gen2 is the same thing as Toyota Corolla Rumion in Japan.
Honestly - Rumion looks better IMHO then new xB, I kinda more like the front Headlights / bumper of it + TRD offers cool bodykit for it And it comes with the 1.5 Engine in Japan too - so that's a big + for a fuel economy.

Well - check for yourselves:

Ya, I seen pics of the Rumion from previous posts. Certainly am glad to finally have a JDM counterpart, but as for comparing the two,
I think our xB looks cleaner. I'd say the only parts that I'm feelin' from the Rumion is the Grille and interior nothin' more.

I'm not feelin' the Rumion. Although I would love to test drive one with the 1.5L and CVT. That would be good for a laugh to hear that little engine all revved up trying to propel 3000+lbs while the speedometer crawls upwards at a pace of 5mph per second.

5 mph per second? I think even that's a bit optimistic! Probably more like 1 mph per second!

You're probably right. 0-60 in 12 seconds is likely too optimistic for the 1.5L Rumion. 60mph is more like the 1/4 mile trap speed for it.

The only thing the Rumion has that I want is the 7 speed auto, but only if mated to the 2.4L and not that little 1.8L. Not that I have anything against little engines. I have a 1.5L engine in my 600lb motorcycle and it's not too bad.

BTW, I know we all need to be thinking green but I'm getting 27mpg avg from my XB2 and I can merge into traffic without fearing for my life. How green is green enough?

Hmmm... looks like a wide angle mirror stuck on. I wonder if that's a Genuine Toyota Accessory or something from the Japanese equivalent of Pep Boys. :D

The sunroof is sweet, the gauges are nicer, the way the interior folds flat is cool, also, the arm rest on the rear seat is sweet,
I want to order a Rumion driver seat, to install in the passenger side of my xB2 so the passenger has an armrest,
man, there are a lot of cool things to order =) Also, the tail lights, and headlights are way cooler. There is an optional push start button!

Man, I need to start saving =)

Whoa...if that thing has paddle shifters, that's awesome. I loved the shifter on the now-extinct Celica...that thing was way fun to drive.

I think the rear wing is sweet. I'd actually consider getting that one. I don't at all like the one for the USDM.

Our automobile market is so far behind. Cars in the JDM seem to have everything that we pay for standard. Climate control, push start, intuitive design.

We dont get that. We get cup holders.

it cost more than ours.. and the engine is a 1.5 or 1.8 ... ours is more suited for us... bigger engine ... to make them comparable in price we had to lose it somewhere... I agree .. the Rumion has some really cool stuff... and it sucks that we didnt get it... but a car with all that stuff... and out 2.4 ... would cost a lot more than we we all paid for ours... plus then we couldnt mod them ourselfs ;) everything is already done ..lol
