Default TRD lower Spring and Factory Rear Spoiler

I got my new XB for like 2 weeks now. i like it alot and i have been thinking to do something to it. however :

1. TRP lower spring costs $250 at the dealer and installation is $300 ! i dont know should i just order the spring and go to local body shop and have them install it. it will save me like $200 !

2. Rear Spoiler costs $320 at the dealer. (online $300) and installation is $150. I m scare to intall it on my own because i have to drill holes and stuffs. i was thinking to ahve the dealer do it. what do u guys think ?

OR should i wait for more aftermarket parts like sometime next month ? what do you guys suggest ?

cost 210.00 plus shipping from www.trdsparks.com, and install them yourself. i did it last night in 1 hr 15 min including drive test. i used the factory instructions supplied with the springs.

I paid $250 for the TRD springs and $80 for the install at the time of deliver. I paid the full price from Scion's website for the rear spoiler (I just didn't feel like messing with the install). I think if you take your time these items are pretty easy to install.

Do the TRD Lowering Springs give clearance if you have the upgraded TRD 19" wheels??

It shouldn't rub since you could get both of these straight from the dealer.

Default TRD Lowering Springs

Being a more interested in function over form,do you think the lowering springs really add to the stability of the gen2 or is it more for the lowered look. I'll be picking mine up at the end of June and I did have dealer install TRD rear sway bar and frt.strut tie bar. Stayed with the 16"alloy wheels and plan to scrap the cheap lower end Goodyears for somthing more agressive. Any suggestions on tires?
First post. Thanks for info from all you Scion gurus out here.

I find that the springs with the rear sway bar really help the handling. I notice it way more since installing the low profile tires, but you obviously want a better ride than I am getting.
I am actually thinking of picking up an addition set of wheels and tires something like 17's with 225/45/17 tires for a different look (maybe black?) and better ride for use on road trips.
I'm even going to put winter tires on my steelies, but I think you have no use for that. lol

For tires read the reviews on Tire Rack and other places like this one:http://www.consumersearch.com/www/au...res/index.html
