Default Typical Time for Orders

I'm desperately trying to fine an 08 Blackberry Crush with nothing added.

I still haven't driven one of the new ones, but as soon as I do, I will probably go ahead and order it.

For those who might know, what is the typical time it takes for orders. I'm not looking for a dealer trade, I want it brand spanking new with only the miles from the factory to the truck to the dealer.

it depends on the situation. i ordered mine on May 5th and i have to wait until the beginning of june because it was still in japan. if you find a dealer with one in stock, you wont have to wait at all.

from what i heard there are only gonna be 900 coming over at first including the ones that are already here. If you really want one, dont stall because i think they are gonna go quick.

Dealers don't "order" Scions, they are allocated. IOW, Scion/Toyota tells the dealer what they are getting. We get what you want by dealer trading if it isn't in our allocation. We can swap it while it's still on the boat, or still at the port as well as swapping it out once they hit the ground.

Just make sure to tell your dealer that you don't want miles, and will wait. It should be about 3-6 weeks, depending on where you are in line.

Thanks for the answer. I'm familiar with how they come in, I didn't know you couldn't order them specifically.

Nevermind. I just spoke to a dealer who sponsors Scikotics and he will have one for me in the next week.

Yay.

My dealer told me that I got get my xb2 by the end of the week. By dealer trade but with about 150 miles on it. Should I wait or do I have any other options. I need something soon. They said they would have to drive it back from the other dealer.

^^^ No big deal. If you don't want the miles, let them know ahead of time and that you are willing to wait.

If you can't wait, take the car, it won't be any less new. It's not like they are using the local driving schools or tokyo drift stunt drivers to get it there.

How many miles will one delivered to the dealer have? And is there any "unwrapping" to be done at the dealer?

I'm going to say 10 miles at most. Depends on the dealer and where it came to port.

Some dealers take them immediately off the truck, gas them up and detail. When I worked at a dealer, most new cars had 3 miles.

That irls me.

I ordered mine two months ago. The first one they are sending my dealer is not the color I want. In addition, there is only an "early June" date for arrival.

Why would dealers not have commited the cars to buyers and the distribution send my dealer one that was not sold????

My dealer actually had to trade another dealership to get mine. They are not allocating by order, but by dealership.

Depends on your dealer. Some of the one's I spoke with told me they would find me the exact color I want, but they are there to "Sell" rather than help and started pushing cars with different colors and options that I didn't want.

Just bide your time, the longer you wait, the better it will feel when you finally get it.

I am actually a pretty patient person.

For me it is a major business/marketing purchase and the sooner I get it the sooner I am marketing.

I am just thrilled that my wife is insisting on the DVD system

This car is "For my wife" but I will probably drive it more. I have been thinking about getting someone to pay me for driving around with they're company logo on it. Figure it may help pay the note. There is an Element riding around my town with this.

Good luck. I am getting lucky.

I have to wait a few more days. I was origianally told it would get here either thursday or friday, but they are now saying early next week.

I am relieved though, they pulled my credit and I shouldn't have a problem getting financing.
