What do you guys think of my mods?
I just got a sub kicker 07cvt122. Its pretty good and since I work at circuit city I got a huge discount ($200 off) all my goodies. I also got Sony 2-Channel Xplod Amplifier (XM2002GTR). When I bought the car the dealer installed bluetooth so I can talk on my phones wirelessly. It cost $600. My sub+ amp + wires + installation came to $410. I was on a budget so I'm pretty happy. I'm planning to get better speakers Polk db6501 6.5” 2-Way Component System with External Crossover. I'm only 17 so I don't have that much $'s to blow.

Yep $600 for just bluetooth. Whenever you get a phone call, all you have to do is press the button, and speak into the microphone (3rd pic) and you can hear the persons voice through the speakers. Pretty neat feature. O and when your listening to music the radio automatically turns off and you can here the phone ringing through the speakers.

Looks nice.
I put my Parrot bluetooth unit in the same location as your button.
That is a really expensive though. Mine is a Parrot LS3200 with a Metra harness for about $185 total installed myself. It works exactly like yours for calls.
How do you make a call with yours? Do you have to get the phone out and use it to dial? That is my favorite thing about my setup. I never touch the phone.

roxor_boxor yep, I never touch the phone, all I have to do when dialing someone is hold button 2 seconds use voice command and say something like " call Bob" I like your bluetooth device better because it actually has a display. But even though mine is more expensive its covered by the dealer lifetime (Parts and Labor).
brettalesi Nope Im not using stock unit. Im using the upgraded pioneer with ipod connection. Its not possible to run a sub off that.

hooking up a sub is easy, no matter what stereo you have, just use a line level converter if you are using a d class/ mono amp, and many other amp's have a line level input, as far as the bluetooth goes, that button looks cool, about 10 bucks worth of cool, but blue tooth should never cost 600 bucks, but if your happy with it, who am i to rain on your parade
