I can't decide whether I like the TYC Led Tail Lights on a RS 5.0 or not...I feel like i'm biased since I like the gold color and alot of people don't...lol

Smoked TYC or Anzos look good on the RS.5 to me... I am not a fan of red on gold... It clashes to me..

 

well, if I get the TYC, I will probably NOT modify them from what they are, and will install them right out of the box....

so in that case....do alot of you think that its better to just stick with stock or go with TYC in that regard?

 

I've been wanting to tint my TYC's, but I don't want to drop the $$$ just to have them sh*t out on me like my last pair.

And to the OP, it's all what you want. I like my TYC's because I've always been a huge fan of the Land Rovers with the taillights with the rings. I think the rings are pretty slick. But, with the issues they've had, you may be better off getting the Anzo units or even waiting.

Like serious problems that everyone has been experiencing or isolated cases? Well, I'm in contact with a guy that's willing to sell me brand new TYC for $150. I think that's a pretty good deal. I've always like the Land Rover lights as well, that's what attracted me to these.

If they end up being ugly on the RS 5, i'm not sure if I want them or not =/

but shoot,...if they go out, I'm not going to have a warranty or anything on them! What do you think guys? $150 for tail light that may go kaput after 10k miles?

I voted for led"s but i like to get the rumion ones.i like to know where to get them.

 

TYC and get the Amber / White LED's and convert the turn signals to reverse / turn's like someone else did on these boards.

 

the standard lights are ugly

 

I think the stock lights are better than the aftermarket ones out there. If anything they just need a darker tint.

 

I think they look good on the Gold, but that's me.

^^Some reading for you.
Make sure you get the original receipt from the person selling the taillights. That way you WILL have a warranty. Just tell them that you bought them at that dealer, installed them, and they went out. You should be fine.

 

i got the tyc and i luv. i still have the stock pair so if something goes bad i'll switch it.
who are you buying it from for $150 because i got mines for the same price just wonder if it's the same guy.
for that price it's a steal and i vote just go for it thats what i did

Just an FYI, I know several people with the TYC tailes, and a couple of them had them replaced because of failed LEDs.

It's a steal, but what happens if it breaks down in a couple of months? I think I would be SOL

I just wished tail lights were cheaper! haha, for this price, I dont know if its worth it or not....to me, it seems like its worth it, only if they don't die
