Default What would you do?

I have 500 dollars to spend, 200 is already spoken for, more carbon fiber....coming soon.

I am in a headspin trying to decide what I want. TRD sparks has the cold air intake for 299. Then there is sound deadening to cover the roof and the doors to start about 250 roughly.

Then there is some new taillights, thinking about taking a chance on some TYC, always love the style. But I have all LED bulbs in my factory lights that I do like.

And then there is some new window tint. After that there are of course other things I want but those are more like crazy stuff that I don't have high on my priority list.

is there a reason you're looking at the $300 intake vs a cheaper one?

Tail lights.

They're always a nice upgrade. In the future, you can also adjust the Third Brake Light with Oznium's on their Web site. It basically makes it larger and more pronounced. I have it on my xB, coupled with Longo tails.

I'd go for the sound deadening it makes the ride much nicer, but that's me.

Probably trying to stay CARB legal since he lives in Cali.

Sound deadening. It's not flashy, but it'll make the car more comfortable to drive and ride in. It'll make any sound system you add in later sound better too (less competition from interior noise).

I'd go with sound deadening and tint if you can save a bit more for it.

Yeah, I was thinking sound deadening first too. I would be nice if the Scion sounded more like our Lexus will interior noise. If I went with the CAI, I would definitely need CARB legal, though I don't need a smog for another two years. Maybe in the end if I can get some darker tint up front and a windshield strip, I am gonna do that too.

IMO, considering the performance of our boxes, i would probably go with the tints and tail lights first. Personally though if you were to go the intake route then I'd try to get the exhaust and headers after which is basically the more expensive route.

There, fixed it for you.

No header in Cali if he wants to stay CARB legal.

Like CIONIDE said, replacing an OE cat with a header (and definitely singular, I really don't understand where this plural stuff comes from for an inline engine -- I see that error all over the place ) is a definite mistake for CA, I'm giving it a try in DE, but I'm expecting the worst come inspection time .
