What is this xB look-a-like spotted in Bangkok Thailand?
What is this thing? My friend and I were in Bangkok in July and he told me he spotted a green xB there the other day. I told him they don't have xBs in Thailand and he sent me these pictures. The grill looks a lot like Coolbear but it's different. I never saw these anywhere else in Thailand.

Wow that was fast. yes, I did a search and found the link to the Japan bB website and indeed it is the same car. Thanks!

If Toyota had done a front end treatment like this, I would be ____ed that they didn't bring the new bB over.

As it is, I could care less for the new bB, or the new xB. Just picked up our second 1st gen. xB this last weekend.

Where do you see that the xB is built by Daihatsu? By the specs the xB and bB are clearly on two different platforms.
According to this page on Toyota's website the new bB is built by Daihatsu but the xB is built by Central Motor Co. (77% owned by Toyota).

I kept seeing speculation about sizes of the bB and xB so I did the research. Here is what I found so far.
Except for the overall lengths these are not earth shattering dimensional differences. As others have noted, the 2008 xB's extra length appears to mostly be in the front.
It would be interesting to see a picture of the three vehicles parked side by side.

This is probably a stupid question, but is this a Photoshop or a real Kit? If a photoshop great job! If it's a kit there might still be hope for New Xb. I know that photo is a New Bb, but like someone stated earlier there not that much earth shattering difference between the two vehicles. Don't get me wrong I have gotten use to the look of New Xb and waiting any critical opinions until I see it in the Flesh and maybe with some sweet wheel package.
The current JDM bB and the upcoming Scion xB2 are TOTALLY DIFFERENT, and there will be very
little interchangability of ANY parts (looks like fuses and licenseplates are about it...).
Here are some dimesional drawings comparing the original bB (our xB) and the current JDM bB:

The 2008 xB2 is larger than either of those - and shaped like a van.
Tom
P.S. It is the current JDM bB that is being built at the Osaka Dihatsu plant, along with the Dihatsu COO, which is the same except for trim:
