where'd they go??
i drive by the scion dealer during my commute...for the past 2 weeks now - NO scions on the lot! Well, just one - a gold xB. What the heck is going on? NO xD's...tC's or xBs! Anyone else seeing a shortage near them?
I'm having the worst luck trying to find a white or silver Xb manual trans. I've called 8 dealerships none have them. I special ordered one and they said it would be two weeks. I made sure to tell them not to install the front plate.

We are just trying to make room for 09's. Don't really want to have the 08's sticking around with 09's coming in. Also with gas prices up as much as they are, anything hitting 30 mpg's is going to sell as soon as it hits the lot. Even Corollas and Yaris' have been hard to get here.
Was out to my local dealer for oil change and state inspection the other day and posed the question to a friend of mine who is the sales manager. It seems, at least on the east coast, that there was a strike by the truckers who deliver Scion's/ Toyotas from the Newark/New York port along the east coast. They have already sold about 12, and are waiting delivery. The strike was settled, and saw a truck unloading at the dealer this afternoon.
I stopped in at a Toyota/Scion dealer on the way home from the beach today, because I saw an RS1 xD out front, and I wanted to see it up close. I was surprised that the only Scion on the lot other than the xD was one tC. I hope the reason they only had two is that they are hot sellers in light of $4.00 plus gas prices. I have enjoyed my Scion since it was new in Jan. 06, and hope the brand continues to be popular long into the future!!!
