Who cares? Just ignore the trolls. They are sad and have nothing else going on in their lives obviously. I dont like the gen 1 xB probably as much as others dont like the gen 2. Why they are in this forum is beyond me. I've not visited the gen 1 forum even once.

you should have gotten his licence plate # and called the police, thats a 2nd degree felony in most states.

i love my car for different reasons than you love your car. its realy compairing apples and orenges.

im sick of hearing people argue about about the hole bx1 vs xb2 thing, thats what im sick of.
we are brothers, some times brothers don't get along. but yes id stop to help out an xb2 owner.

just look at it this way....... soon thaer will be a xb3 and we can all dog pile on them.
hahaha
untill then ... come on, lets respect one anothers likes and dislike, ill admit ive said some crude stuff mostly in humor and you have too.

the people i will not apologize to is the wanabes with fake profiles that like to start crap and watch the fight get bigger only for thare own personal amusement . thats most likely the same person that would try and run someone off the road just because of the car they drive.

Default Who is sick of this

Some people don't handle change very well. I have a RS 2.0 XB. I love it because its different. I have test driven the XB2 and was impressed with the smoother ride, quieter ride and more power under the hood. Don't care for the lack of storage under the rear cover. But over all I like it. Can't wait to see what the release series look like. Won't get rid of my RS 2.0, but would love to pick up a release series XB2.

Since Sunday:

My new wheels came with the wrong centering rings

One of the twenty new lugnuts was the wrong thread

I was rear ended, twice...(same woman at the same time though, hit the gas instead of the brakes...)

A little kid put a small dent in the rear DS door with a whiffle ball

A deer ran into the front DS door

And, I rashed my new rim on the curb (not bad though)

I am going to blame the 2008 xB haters, they are tired of an informed person making well-formed, factual arguments against their BS (not that it is hard to do...). I think their curses are starting to take effect...

Seriously though, as annoying as it is now, it was unbelievably worse in March/April before the car came out. I refused to even register for almost a month because no one could carry on a serious discussion about the car without a gaggle of haters crashing the party within a few posts.

Yeah. Sure.

Their frequent trolling comes out looking like the xB equivalent of ***** envy. They wish ours was tiny, weak and flimsy like theirs.
I would not say all the mods are biased...prolly not even half. Frankly, I don't think we get a whole lot of mod traffic because I don't know of any that have (or are planning on buying) a 2008 xB. There are definitely some mods who I would agree do not have the best interests of the 2008 xB folks in mind, and sometimes are flat-out biased against us.

There was one thread in which I was arguing with a few haters who had been making personal attacks against a couple 2008 xB owners (including myself) for PAGES. (This is expressly against the rules) The moment I made a comment that was somewhat a personal attack, I got a large lecture on the rules and how I had broken them. I went back and found 4+ personal attacks that were much more blatant than my post and pointed out the "unequal" treatment. Suddenly, all of the argument posts were deleted and the lecture was revised to address everyone. Now, did the mod just happen to read the tail end of the thread and it was a coincidence that it was right when I made a personal post? Probably; I am willing to give the mod the benefit of the doubt...but at the time, I was pretty ____ed.

I was wondering how long you guys were going to last. I would have been strangling people about four months ago.

I find this incredibly hard to believe, since anyone even remotely familiar with the xB1 would know that they wouldn't be able to run a pizza-delivery scooter off the road without becoming airborne and possibly exploding. All you have to do is slam the rear hatch (WHU-CLANG-G-G-G-G!) to realize that, holy cow, the car really does weigh less than a typical post-Costco shopping cart.

Maybe he was trying to test your side airbags for you

I guess I should watch out for myself that I don't change in my outer appearance. Say that I bulk out a little bit, sprint a little faster but zig and zag a little less radically. or consume just a little more food each day. The old me might start to resent the new me. See just how a little change can start a village to fire. I find it pretty stupid to not accept that a little change has to come. Technology brings us high candle power lighting. Should we not still respect a lantern? Every innovation is full of oohs and ahhhs and a lot of ridicule. Change builds some towns and destroys others. Some like the simple life and others hustle and bustle. Which is better? If you like penthouses on the 100th floor, don't ridicule the man who has the quaint confortable cabin with a view. Stop picking and praise each for making a choice that makes them happy!

P.S. I like the apartment and the cabin! Both bring solitude. Peace on

It's funny how they "say" it's not JDM but when I open the driver's side door and look at the vehicle plaque that's stamped I see MADE IN JAPAN

"Japan Domestic Market" means "made to be sold in Japan," not just "made in Japan."

The Toyota Rumion will soon be sold in Japan, it is Japan's version of the 2008 xB.

Is the 2008 JDM? Not quite yet.

Do I see any possible reason to care either way?

Only one: To silence the haters who complain that the 2008 is not JDM (this statement is not directed at any particular person).

Who cares what any other people say about your car! If you like your car, then who cares what others think? When I first bought me gen1 xB in June 2003, people didn't talk about my car. Instead they would spit on it or throw cigarettes at it. I even had one person put a note on my car telling me to "take this piece of sh*t off the road."

I peronally don't care for the gen2 xB, but who am I to say it's uglier than mine? Scion had billboards stating that it's "Pro: Ugly, Con: Ugly." But that is what makes it original! I don't care for the tC, because I don't think it's very original. That and I'm too tall to fit in it comfortably.

As for the haters, report them to the Mods and let them take care of it!
