xB Motorcycle Towing

xB Motorcycle Towing
Well, I finally got my Curt hitch put on, hooked up my trailer, loaded my 600+ pound Moto Guzzi motorcycle and took everything out for a spin.
Everything worked fine. The box tows excellent. I've got a Harbor Freight 4x8 (not the folding one) trailer.
I was quite surprised that the rig still accelerated pretty good, didn't know what to expect. Stops good too.
I have the load balanced to put right at 100 pounds on the tongue and that seems to work out good.
Naturally one must plan all one's moves in advance and drive with care, but I don't see any problems. My previous tow vehicle was a 150 hp PT Cruiser and I think the xB is every bit as good.
I'll be doing a track day soon with my 425 pound Aprilia Tuono R, so I'll have an opportunity to check it out over a 400 mile or so round trip.
Will update.

Do you have an auto or manual? I'm thinking about getting a hitch as well so I can tow my jetski in the summer time. Only thing that worries me is that I have a 5-speed and the stress on the clutch when towing.
