Default xB2 mpg?

Okay you guys (and gals too!)
Now that you folks have your spankin new xBs - whats your MPG on your first tankful? I'm curious to see if it is close to the tC in mpg.

Auto xb2, no mods, I'd say it's 70/30 city/highway.

(date, odo, gallons, price, mpg)
July 15th, 2007 760 11.61 $2.959 19.82
July 7th, 2007 509 7.91 $2.879 21.62

I didn't know which MPG thread to update, so I'm going to update my mpg's here...

I've had the xb2 since 6/28 and filled up 4 times since. I'm calculating based on pump at fill up calculations (not computer) - only have two readings because I couldn't calculate off the first fill up (I got 26 mpg, but I don't know how much gas there was when i picked up the car), and I haven't calculated since the last fill up)

I have been getting roughly 26-27 with a mix of City/HWY. I just had the first oil change done at 5000 miles.

My mileage is 28.5 so far. That's the average of my first 3 tankfuls. My drive typically includes at least 40% stop and go.

I calculate my mileage based on the odometer/tripmeter divided by gallons pumped to fill the tank. I don't use the computer for these calculations.

ps - one of the shared mileage 2008 xBs on fueleconomy.gov is mine

With this engine, it also depends how you drive.

If I am leadfooted, I will only get about 200 miles out of a full tank. If I drive moderately, I get 300.

I drove to Dallas last weekend and we were able to go 325 miles before the light came on.

Is the computer accurate at all?

The mileage display is to some degree. Watching it can show you how your driving affects mileage but the numbers themselves aren't accurate to an absolute degree. The range is sort of accurate too if you consider it "range to low fuel" rather than "range to no fuel".

I consider the computer a great asset from an entertainment perspective but not much more.

I'm getting about 26 mpg after 4 fill ups. I drive 90% city and 10% highway. This is about 4 mpg better than I expected. I have been babying it though
