Default xB2 Reliability And Issues

I figured this would be the best place to post as I am looking to purchase an 08 xB. It has 33K on the clock and is for sale at the dealer for $12,500.

What, if any, problems are there with 08 xB's that I should be aware of or look for on this car?

It goes through windshields like no other. Very few problems with these vehicles other wise. It likes to drink gas if you have a heavy foot btw

Hi Kyle,

May I ask what the defects were? I'm guessing these were items you picked up on after delivery, and not manufacturer recalls? (Haven't heard of any xB2 recalls yet.)

I figured the windshield would be a bug/rock magnet. How do the tranny, interior elements and engine hold up? I'll probably be using this for business, so I need something that has room (which I know this does) and is reliable so I can get to my clients without the aid of a tow truck.

Is there anything that I should be looking for when I go back to test drive it again?

I'm pushing 30k on my 2009 and have had zero issues with it. Everything is holding up just fine. I've been through 1 spider crack patch and 1 entire windshield replacement. But those were all caused by rocks kicked up by cars in front of me.

For those who already own one ... what is the one thing you dislike about the car?

Interior plastic is cheap. It scratches easily. Other than that, I am very happy with the car. It is the one car in the last 4 that I have not traded in or sold before the first year was up.

Any ideas what a squeak in the clutch might be? I push it in while at a stand still and hear a squeak ...
