Edit: Overall, these springs are perfect for every day driving. Not too low and not too high for the every day driver. No rubbing and barely any scrapes (with a lip kit that is, if you don't have a kit, I doubt you would scrape at all).
Just purchased a set of H-Techs a few weeks ago and ended up trading in my XB just last week. So unfortunately I won't be able to see them on my former box. They are now for sale if anybody's interested. Brand new still in the box.

I've been on TRD springs for 3 years now and love 'em. The rear could be 1/4" lower but then it would be nose-up with 4 people and/or some luggage in back. I don't bottom out on driveways or speed bumps and I just have to be careful when parking next to really high curbs or pulling up to tall bump-stops. TRD... FTW.

I have the DF210 - and it honestly not bad at all. I suppose when I put the five axis kit on it will be a whole different story, but if you're staying stock body it's not bad at all, I haven't scraped at all and in Calgary (where I live) the roads are terrible IMO

Just wanna throw it out there but if anyone wants to sell their NF210's I would be very interested in buying. Im riding stock and dont like the wheel gap. I have 16" TSW and in dire need of a deal on some NF210's. Oh one more thing I live out in Hawaii where it cost an arm and a leg to get anything shipped out here.

  • If you have DF210/Hotchkis/Sportlines/S-tech, do you wish that you wouldn't have gone quite so low?

I really want to slam the car, but I drive it everyday and have racked up over 20,000 miles since last May when I bought it. I don't want to regret going too low, but I also don't want to leave too much fender gap.

Why is this so difficult a decision to make? LOL
Well, you've left me and my Eibach Prokit springs completely out, but I happen to like them since not only do they provide a decent load capacity (including allowance for speed bumps and curbs), but they also strongly resist lean in quick curves. Kind of like driving a sled, except the ride is actually decent !

Eibach Sportlines on 18x8 Rims, +25 offset, and 215/40/R18's no rubbing with the offset and the stiffer suspension provides excellent handling with the Hotckis sway bar kit and Tanabe strut tower brace.

Maybe Eibach cares about allowing some degree of rear load capacity, unlike Tanabe. I have Prokit and am entirely satisfied, so if the goal is to absolutely flatten the ride, maybe Eibach isn't the ultimate choice (don't have the experience to be sure), but if you want your xB2 to be at all practical, I think there is something to be said for Eibach. They provide the necessary stiffness to make sure the xB2 stays useable !

Thank you for that Trevor, I understand how some people like the wheel gap to be minimal and even, but like you said, for those other people who are more concerned with performance than appearance, a little rake isn't necessarily a bad thing. You have the pro-kit yes? I have the Sportlines. It seems that we are both satisfied with the performance aspects... so I say no big deal. To each his or her own.

Choosing lowering springs seems to come down to one crucial choice. Do you care more about how your car looks in the parking lot or how it rides and handles when driven in the real world.

thats also only accurate to an extent. I love the way mine looks in the parking lot and the way mine rides, in the real world of usage. Ive taken mine camping, down dirt roads, highways, back roads, canyon carving and city streets with lots of holes. Rides/handles is all personal preference. I had a set of springs i got rid of them for another set that i like a whole lot more.

Yeah, I guess it is all a matter of trade-offs and degrees. I was just thinking of extreme examples like how bad an XB would look, ride and handle with 4 passengers and some luggage in back on DF 210s. As always though, to each his own.
