Default Coilovers?

I sure need help from you guys to explain about coil overs, I have a general
idea but I might be way of.
I sure understand the concept of shocks but I need the pro's and con's about
coil over's.

The term "coil-over" means the coil spring resides outside of the shock (which goes down the middle) instead of being behind, in front, or beside the coil spring. If you are asking about adjustable coil-overs then basically it is a shock with a an adjustable base for the spring built on to it so you can use a spanner (big wrench) to adjust the tension on the spring resulting in a change in ride height and handling. That's the basics. I'm sure someone with extensive knowledge will chime in if more info is needed.

The Gen 2 xB has coilover struts in the front and a shock and spring set up on a torsion beam in the rear. Just FYI.
