CUSCO Japan coilovers sneak peak!!!
How r they holding up? Do u autoxx alot? im so interested in these but i would like to see how urs r holding up...and i gotta start saving cause these r just a bit more than ksports hehe then again the quality im assuming is a ton better also...
well we're a few days from giving birth to our 3rd child so we're looking to upgrade to a 3 row van'ish type of vehicle to help support 3 kids 2 adults and groceries etc....
market sucks right now and with our car so personally modified its a very small niche that would be in our market. So as it stands, we're gonna use the xB while its still with us but ultimately would like to get it sold.
btw.... i raised the car up 1.5 to 2" above each tire because with the whole baby, car seat, and utility of the vehicle it didn't make sense for us to have such a low car. If youve guys seen the pics you can imagine how speedbumps are the devil.
anyways.... I just wanted to personally attest my outstanding recommendations for these Cusco coilovers. I loved them when I was low and could ride hard into corners but since raising the car believe it or not I feel 10 times better driving the xB. They've always been comfortable and aggressive but now they are even more comfortable (twice as better than stock, but then again I'm also using Toyo Proxes) without sacrificing too much performance.
as it stands about 1.5" above each tire, I'm still extremely confident in its cornering ability. We should have a meet... I'd love to take some of you guys out for a spin and show you how these Cusco's really are so comfortable yet corner so well..... matter of fact, i think i'm gonna go take a spin and record this all for you guys. If you're on the fence about Cusco's, trust in the brand recognition...... you get what you pay for.

Go_HIN, all your statements are believeable. When dampers are properly valved, they can be comfortable and have great handling. People seem to think good handling means uncomfortable ride, which is completely wrong.
Also, most people nowadays have mismatched dampers and springs, especially lowering springs which tend to be progressive. People who buy lowering springs are not buying them performance, period. They are for looks. Progressive springs can't be matched to ANY damper, because during portions of the spring, it'll be overdamped and underdamped, etc. Not to mention progressive springs are not predictable, due to the fact that you never know when you're in the stiff section or not. Progressive springs aren't made for comfort, they're made to do some of the dampening for the damper so the damper doesn't get worn out as fast, and they're made to just fit in the space without becoming loose (the dead coils are just replacements so the car can go lower).
Basically, the point of this post was to point out that damper valving is super important, and it was to clear up some misconceptions about suspension in general.

I should have some video for you guys in a few days... we just figured out how to work the camera mount so that it sits right next to the wheel well so you guys can see rebound characteristics of the Cusco coils.... We're gonna do real time footage with a camera inside the car as well so you guys get a feel of the drivers perspective on real road conditions.
We had some footage but it was too dark and for the camera so we'll wait till friday for another run. standby!

you guys should holler at aerodyne.net
Since I was accused of trying to sell these Cusco's to people for a profit I'm just gonna stay outta this board. I dont want anyone thinking I am passing on info for my own benefit. I dont make a single penny off of anyone, I dont even sell anything. But these are great coilover's and Cusco's brand provides assurance you won't run into petty little nuances. Quality first and foremost.....
