Default D2 Coilovers and Hotchkis Sway Bar

Just ordered the D2 Coilovers, and I already have the sway bars. Going to do both installs at once.
The Coilover install seems straight forward, as well as the rear sway.
Any tips or tricks for the front sway bar? Does a lower control arm really need to be removed?
Thanx

Pay a professional to install it. It's a PITA!

I dont trust others working on my car. So I do all my own work.
Are you referring to the Front Sway is a PITA? or what? Thanx

It's not that bad. All I did was remove the rear vertical bolt in the driver's side front lower control arm. To my recollection, it wasn't bad. I actually installed it upside-down first. That was a pain to remove.

But all in all, it's not bad. Just pull that one bolt out and shove the control arm out of the way a bit.

Same here except I pulled the bolt on the passenger side. Just takes some wedging to get the old one out and the new one in.

D2 Racing is loosing my support more and more.. First, they send the tC set, not what I ordered, their mistake. Then I send them back, and almost 2 weeks after they were shipped, they finaly said they had received them. Now they just sent out the xB set, and instead of drop-shipping them to me, like they did first, they sent them all the way to Cali, from North Carolina. So I hope in like 2 weeks to maybe have the correct parts I ordered.
I have since installed the Hotchkis Rear stabilizer bar, very disappointed, no difference.

No difference after hotchkis rear sway? Wow, the general consensus I got from others who installed it was that it was a night and day difference...

The rear IS NOT a sway bar. I have talked w/ a coworker from Roush and all he can see it doing is adding stability to the beam. Now if it connected to the beam, and to the body itself, it would prevent alot of roll. I have been thinking how I can modify it to connect it to the top of the shocks, then it would actually twist w/ body roll and help reduce it. I cant wait to get the front sway installed!

Well, technically, all the front sway can do it make more understeer. If I understand correctly, alot of autox guys actually REMOVE the front sway to reduce the amt of understeer...so a thicker bar would just increase it? Less roll IS good though.

After doing some reasearch how the rearend of our car moves with cornering, I see how the hotchkis rear bar works. Im just wondering if i dont feel it as much because im already on TRD Springs?

I will be doing my first autox this sunday with hotchkis springs and new oem dampers, then installing the hotchkis sways for the next autox. Im hoping it will be slightly more neutral overall, and stay much flatter.

Depending on the springrates of the TRD's and how you drive, I could see that. I know I felt an enormous difference with the hotchkis springs.

I still can go plenty low, but the roads still have pot holes like crazy.
I plan on going lower when i get heavier springs, and roll the fenders.

The ride is good, Its a little soft to go really low, 2.2k rear springs? D2 doesnt make anything heavier for the rear...
I didnt take any pic of the coilovers off the car, but i will try to get some installed pic since i have to make sure everything is still tight.

I'm not sure if that's right on the spring rate... The KSports are 4.5k. I'm looking into something a little stiffer. (that's what she said)
