Doubt it, since the bars are back at full price, the promotion was for the holiday season, and even the coupon code is for '07.

Can someone humor a noob. What is the zerk? You are all talking about greasing something. I have read the TRD rear sway bar install, and it does not mention grease. Is this only for the front sway bar? Sorry if I sound ignorant, but I don't have any experience with this. I want to get this set up rather than the TRD, but if I can't install myself, I don't want to do it. I hate to pay for things to be installed. I take it the front is a lot more difficult to do...

A zerk fitting is also known as a grease fitting. It is what you attach your grease gun to so you can get the grease into hard to get areas.

No, other than disconnecting the swaybar, you have to remove 2 bolts and 1 nut from the BJ and remove one/loosen the other control arm bolt.

Zerks are on the rear bar only.

Hi Al:

OK, got the torque specs I needed and installed the front bar. (Thanks again IntegreS and SquallLHeart!)

The rear bar provides the greatest benefit. Comparitively, and as expected, the benefits from installing the front bar was less dramatic. The Hotchkis front bar stiffened the front up over the stock bar, so it just feels right now.

As mentioned in a previous post, after installing the Hotchkis rear bar alone, I noticed how soft the front suspension is. Now with both bars installed, my box feels balanced--as expected. Hotchkis has done a good job with this pair. Again, as expected.

So, can you drive with just the rear bar and be safe? For casual drivers, I'd say yes. If you're a "spirited" driver, get both bars. It's better and well worth the money. I'd even go as far as saying that dollar for dollar cost vs performance and safety, this is one of the the best buys out there. To give you a comparison, my xB2 corners like a stock Mustang instead of a small mini-van or SUV now.

I'm on stock springs too. I'd imagine that lowering springs would improve handling, but it's very good on stockers. It's no race car, but it's a much more confident driver now. Buy with confidence.

Hope this helps.

Ben

I'll just post them here in case others think that "feels tight" isn't good enough for suspension parts.

- front sway bar bushing plates: 87 N*m 64 ft lbs
- front lower ball joint bolts: 133 N*m 98 ft lbs
- front sway bar end links: 74 N*m 55 ft lbs

More torque specs can be found here:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=208855

Let us know what you think after you install them.
