I NEED HELP NOW
i install tein s-tech springs the other day and now everytime i hit a bump on the road or bridge i hear a tink on the front. what did i do wrong? i cut the bumper to spec. and put it in and it drop to the bottom then dust cover. or did i have to put the dust cover then bumper or doesnt matter? please help
couple things make sure your bolts are tight. make sure the springs are in the seat. were the old springs were. did you lube the bearings and grease the upper and lower seats.is one up side down.
On the Gen one there is a key way on the stock top hat (flat sides) that fits on the top of the strut shaft, if its not seated right it might give you that noise. It will also destroy the top hat in a short while. I think the gen two is the same.
Here is the assembly order for Gen two, does not show the inside of top hat though

This is wat I kno I put everything in right n wen putting that last nut where the dust cover is we tighten it to the stock nut. N I saw buddy do the left one n it was tighten more. I hear the noise on the right more then the left. N wen I took it off the bearings were already grease
I hate s**t like this. Suspensions are like math problems best way to find your mistake is re assemble everything from scratch and look closer at the diagram at the top of the page. Oh and make sure everything is completely tight..
/sarcasm. You're 110% right. I've performed a couple spring installs and I heard a funky clunking. Took the front wheels off and made sure everything was tight and put together correctly. Sure enough, the swaybar endlink bolt was loose. Both times.
If you get a weird answer don't try to see what you did wrong redo it from scratch.
Dude are you serious? Come on. Math and suspensions? No way!
