Default Lowerig Springs for 08 xB

Looks like there are several springs to choose from, but which ones lower the car the most & the least?

The Eibach Pro-Kit and TRD Springs lower the least, and I think the Hotchkis Springs/Sprint Springs lower it the most.

Keep in mind that drop is only part of the story. For example; Eibach Pro-Kit & TRD have less drop on the rear than Tanabe NF210, but the NF's provide a softer ride and even out the jacked up rear end more to a level ride height with the front. Similarly, the Eibach Sportline & Hotchkis don't drop the front as much as the Tanabe DF210, but they both level out the ride height more than the DF's. It all depends on what you are looking to get out of your drop.

also keep in mind what you're going to be hauling around in the rear all the time. if you have a few subs/big box back there, you'll want one that will leave the rear "jacked" up to compensate for the extra weight...

Who has the cheapest price for the Eibach Pro-Kit? Thats going to be my next mod. Just wish we had some reasonable performance shocks out there to install at same time

Your shock choices are Tokicos or TRDs, and you can get the Eibach Pro-kit for a good price at Tirerack

I have been doing research on springs as well and found out you need to pay attention to the spring rate.

Hard to do that when almost none of the manufacturers give you rates. Most are progressive so they don't have specific rates, but manufacturers don't even give you a range. The only way to tell if a spring has a high spring rate is by design (looking at them compared to other springs), which obviously isn't that accurate.

No one else on these forums seem to care about spring rate though, they just care about drop, so I doubt manufacturers will ever give out the information (unless you specifically ask them yourself). Low does not mean stiff, but everyone seems to think that. Example: NF210s are stiffer than DF210s. (look at Tanabe's website for the rates)

Good thread Old, I want medium drop with higher spring rates. Haul 200/300 lbs every day for delivery service. Would buy the Tociko's and install with springs but heard QA is not good. TRD's are just to much $$

It's cause the Hotchkis are made with WIN! as opposed to the Tanabes being made with fail.
