Default Please have mercey on the noob question

I want to beef up the suspension, I like the drop I see on the 08 XB's(which I have) what would give me a better ride, the tanabe springs or the Sustec Pro 7 I assume the pro7 you can adjust the hight of the car? If I go with them, will the car ride better with them than the stock shock or will it be stiffer?, I apologise in adavance for asking a stupid question that may have caused a time ripple, I am a noob...Sorry

When you say beef up, I think you're talking about reducing body roll with sway bars, strut bar, etc. Yes? No?
Springs/coilovers will help in lowering your center of gravity as well, but most folks do that part for looks. In my opinion coilovers for the xB is overkill, that being said a suspension kit that has the struts and shocks matched (valving) to the springs (rates) on them is a much better suspension setup than just throwing springs on there on top of OEM components. Check into the spring rates so that when you lower your vehicle you're not sitting on mush.

Well I want to lower it a bit but, I don't want to have a rough ride, yes, I was thinking of installing a sway bar, strut bar etc. and I was hoping that whatever I add would improve the ride of the car over the "factory" comfort. Like I said I am new to all this modding, so I want to do things the right way and not do things half as$. Thank you for your input

Go one by one. Are you doing rims? Size? Less sidewall = harsher ride usually. Lots of folks are running 19's and still say they're comfortable. As a guideline the TRD's are 19" so it makes sense. Do springs after the rims, then I'd say go rear swaybar and then front strut brace and you should have tightened up the body roll and steering quite a bit.
