Is a Strut Tower Brace and Front Sway Bar the same?
Thinking of getting Strut Tower Brace....i know the xb has factory front sway bars. I was wondering do they both have the same function and is the factory front sway bar any good compared to aftermarkets?

They're nowhere near the same thing. The strutbar ties the left and right upper strut towers together.
The red thing in this picture ( http://www.newscionparts.com/product/?id=2644 ) is the strut tower brace.
Sway bars tie the actual suspension together left to right. So if you go into a right curve, your car will sway to the left and vice versa. A sway bar will help keep your body roll to a minimum.
www.hotchkis.net They have a spring/sway bar setup. I love mine.

and this...

and this is from Tanabe's site about their Under Brace...
"Often overlooked, especially on vehicles that are reaching higher levels of modification, is the importance of reinforcing the chassis. All vehicles experience flexing of the unibody under various handling loads. Twisting of the chassis is also very common on higher horsepower vehicles.
The SUSTEC UNDERBRACE prevents this unwanted behaviour by connecting specific points of the undercarriage to reinforce the chassis. Unique internal double-i-beam construction is highly rigid, and lightweight, so the chassis may be significantly reinforced without adding surplus weight.
Noticeable gains in balance and stability are gained after it's simple bolt on installation."
