Default TRD Brake kit.

Been looking at getting this. Not sure if its really worth the money. Does anyone have the kit and do you think its worth it?

a big brake kit is not worth the money unless you road race your car to the point where the additional heat and fade resistance that comes with a big brake kit would be beneficial.

And I think TRD says you have to be running the 19s to fit this kit also!!

Upgrade to trd pads and stainless steel brake lines, should be enough stopping power.

I have a buddy that has it and he loves it.
He stated that he does feel a difference. But I know a lot of research has went into testing BBK's and the research has stated that it doesn't make that large of a difference. :?
He likes it and it looks sick behind his TRD 19's.

+1 you would have to be stopping from a pretty high speed to generate that much heat for a 13 inch rotor. good pads that bite and stainless steel lines should make a big difference. and only cost around 200. there are other options other than trd pads too!

its not worth it. with the $$$ you could spend it somewhere else and the worst part is it's just for the front and they don't have the rear. think about it. i've seen a silver xb in n hollywood very clean w/full trd " springs, shock, tyc, trd exhaust, trd struts, 19" rims ect. ".i was walking around the car talking to the guy for at least 30min no matter how i look at it something is alittle off. then it hit me. the front have these huge, sexxxy lookin brakes then when you look at the back you can barely see the rear disc brakes. it just kind of throw the whole theme off you know
save the $$ get some nice pads, ss brake lines, synthetic brake oil, set of 4 slotted, drilled or slotted and drilled rotors at all corners at least it looks more balance and clean and still get really good perfomance for aggressive driving
sorry for making this soo long
