Have you installed them yet? Thinking about making this the next mod with TRD springs, but haven't decided yet

My first mod was 18’s then
I installed the TRD springs, rear sway bar, front strut tie bar, and the shocks.

The trd shocks smooth out the ride

I just finished installing TRD struts and springs. I already had the strut bar and rear sway....

Did you install the springs and struts at the same time? The length of the TRD shocks were exactly the same as stock, which worried me. I love the way it handles now, just wondering what the difference between the two were. It seemed the TRD shocks were easier to compress, which seems to make sense to me since the springs are shorter

I installed the trd springs with the stock struts/ shocks and ran them for a few weeks. Then added the rear sway bar and strut bar. The trd springs with stock struts/shocks did not handle as good as I thought it should and was a little bit of a rougher ride. After that I installed the trd springs and shocks now it handles and rides much better.
The oem and trd shocks/struts over all are the same length but the trd valving is different and the strut cartridge is shorter internally. My next test is this week end, I’m going to install the DF210’s with the trd shocks .

well that certainly is a better test and you would be a better judge since I just installed it all at once. I'm sure my car still needs to settle a bit, but I'm more or less happy with how much its lowered. Now to find wheels to fill the gap!

Just got mine off ebay...$300 shipped!

Why is there a spring perch on the rear shocks?

I like the way the trd’s lowered my xb but I would like it to be a little bit lower.
The trd’s lowered it F 5/8” R 1-3/8”
When I had my 06 xb I went through 3 set of lowering springs and shocks setups before
I got it the way I wanted it. I like to experiment with different setups. If the df210’s are To low for me I’ll resell them.

They look just like the ones in the picture in this link:

The strut is on top of the rear shock, but you can clearly see the perch on the rear shock.

Well that picture is just wrong then(mine didn't look that way)....its hard to tell from these shots, but other than being red, the shocks are identical to stock.

I did some research, and I actually have the tC TRD shock set. I am going to see if the original seller can help me other than a refund...

It isn't all bad...the tC shocks are actually worth more; I may be able to sell them and buy the xB ones from sparks or something. I am just upset because this will set back my suspension upgrade plans.

What springs are those, healthynine?

I'm sure that someone with a TC might be able to help you out, $300 seems to be a fair price
