I think they have to be installed by your local Toyota dealer in order to be warrantied, TRD or not.

I was told at the dealer that if I install suspension items it voids any warranty on suspension parts, not the whole warranty.

TRD Warranty:

TRD Sport Parts lnstalled by Dealer:
TRD Sport Parts are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of installation or for the balance of the new car warranty in force on the date of installation, whichever is greater, when TRD Sport Parts are installed by an authorized Toyota or Scion Dealer.

TRD Sport Parts Not Installed by a Dealer:
TRD Sport Parts installed by anyone other than an authorized Toyota or Scion dealer are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of purchase only and the warranty coverage is limited to the replacement value of the TRD Sport Part.

More warranty info:

That should just about cover it.

You definitely can't go wrong with that setup. Since you make the emphasis on daily driver, I recommend a modest drop with the TRD Springs.

I'm a daily driver and I roll on Eibach Sportlines, which basically is drastically lower than the springs that you're after. I scrape frequently over small bumps. I'm on 18's with a 235/40 setup, so that contributes, too.

For your daily driver needs, 18 should be the largest you go for a good comfortable ride. Then roll on TRD springs and a rear sway bar and you're good to go.

I went with the Tanabe NF210 drop (mild) with Hotchkis F/R Sways, TRD Strut Bar, and 18" wheels on my daily ride and it doesn't scrap at all! Well that one HUGE speed bump doesn't really count!

If you want no hassle install TRD parts. That's all I have on mine, but I installed them myself and have never been hassled by my dealer when I went in for warranty work. There was no way I was going to pay someone to install something I can.

I can't believe that a $435 air suspension system has all the necessary parts and is of substantial quality. Generally you get what you pay for, and this is especially true in regard to suspension components.

I just noticed this statement: Scion xB2 Air Lift Suspension Systems available Complete, Front or Rear, Standard or Digital. I'm guessing the Starting at $434.67 price is just the beginning of a much more expensive complete front & rear system with digital readout.

You wont damage anything by lowering with the TRD springs or sway bars. They sway bars will help alot. Just do it and you will love it!

There are plenty of springs that will close up that gap. As long as you stick with a reputable manufacturer, and install them correctly, you won't have any warranty problems. You just want to make sure the drop will not rub with any tire/wheel combo you may choose.

The redesigned TRD sway bar has rec'd good reviews and is easy to install, but for not much more money the Hotchkis front/rear kit includes a front bar and stiffens up both ends more than simply adding the rear TRD bar. All a matter of personal choice.

TRD drop is 1.0"F/1.5"R which doesn't even out the rear gap a whole lot.

S-Tech drop is 1.7"F/2.2"R so it drops the front real low, but doesn't even out the gap any more than the TRD's.

Tein H-Tech's FTW. Drop is 1.1"F/2.1"R which will even out the front vs. rear tire/fender gap more, and allow more flexibility in future tire wheel combos since the front isn't slammed. Also less undercarriage scraping issues with the 1.1" front drop.
